Next Steps:

 One foot in front of the other.


Today is 2 E/Eb, so it’s a good day for taking the next step on the path. Or conversely a day which may pull in two different directions. We’ll find out! 


It’s a Monday, a day for nurturing and tending, and the last New Moon of 2024, and today being the 30th of December, it’s a Capricorn New Moon.


So I suppose the agenda for the day is carrying through some of the initial seed energy woven by 1 B’atz/Chuen yesterday, and today taking the next step on the road to the new year: really beginning to lay solid, down to earth, well thought out plans. 


On that tack we started the day digging a bit into our new Magic of I planners (recommended to me by the living breathing walking talking and loud as fuck Venus talisman Rosie Cutter) and beginning to begin planning, a thing we’re (meaning I in this instance) not really used to. More of a Fuck it We’re Doing it Live sort of a guy.


Now that I think about it, since it’s a Monday, it’s also a day to tend to the garden. And boy do I have some weeding to do!


Also having my last Nutrition Coaching call of 2024 with Jun Endo of Deuce Athletics in 9 minutes. It never occurred to me how appropriate it was to have weekly calls about care and feeding on Mondays.


That’s how the Mystery works: it just does.


So then: what is the Next Step?


One foot in from of the other I guess. My feet will find out before I do I’m sure.

Make a Wish

  Early this morning as I slept in the New Year, the moon hit my natal moon degree. I awoke a couple hours later feeling great. Maybe because that moon was hot off an opposition to mars and newly separating, (but also because I intended this the night before) I immediately got to work on one of my new years resolutions: cultivating a daily movement habit. I could not believe how stiff and old my body felt, and how grateful I was to be doing these little sun salutations and pushups. I remember reading somewhere that Kung Fu was developed to warm up the body for Qi Gong, which is to warm up the energy body for meditation. That’s the basic idea for the habit I want to develop—a total, but concise, hygiene routine that addresses whole physical, spiritual, and mental health. The idea is a little bit of some kind of stretching, or calisthenics, or cardio, or whatever it feels like my body is asking for. Some of that old moon stompin'

  I think I like E’ days. Can’t remember the last one precisely but today is 9 E’, and today has been pretty fuckin good. Chill work day. Shot the shit with an astrology friend about elections for our exam (I need to find a better one probably). Then my Mayan Calendar teacher told me they might be able to help me with costs of the second week of the trip (the Yucatan week). I’m hoping that works and I can get work to clear it. That would be fuckin amazing. Other things I’m wishfully thinking about: getting a C. Warnock Spica Talisman. What else? Well for one—I’m about to go to an awesome ska show. Roy Ellis (Symarip) backed by the Aggrolites, The Steady 45’s, and Mobtown! What a lineup! Gotta go!
