Here's to Hoping
Late in the day today Venus entered her exaltation in Pisces. Accordingly I spent most of the day today dreaming up a conjuration for tomorrow morning. The election is a bit meh—Saturn copresent with Venus, with the moon there too, so not great for making a new talisman. As fate would have it, however, I already possess a Venus-Saturn talisman: The Fountain of Wealth Picatrix Talisman by Christopher Warnock. So I am setting about to charge it in the morning. Made a Venusian incense inspired by various bits of lore: fine frankincense a la the Orphic Hymn to Venus, copal as that what was burned under the light of Venus at the first Ak’ab’al, Sandalwood cause everyone says she loves the stuff, with some pine and cedar to keep it burning. I also made a Venus Kamea and I never realized how beautifully sequenced the numbers are. Makes sense!
Today is 5 Tz’Ikin—an Eagle day. It’s a day for a long view, laying plans. I’m so new to the Mayan calendar that I had no idea that that’s what the day is for, but that’s what I ended up doing anyway. Not just magical plans either. Big moves are shaping up at work, and my manager and I began laying plans for a big meeting tomorrow, and for what happens later should things go according to plan.
I’m getting the persistent sense that it will be really important for me to attend the Fire Initiation whether I feel ready or able to or not. Whispers from the Holy Daimon? Sure feels like it. Looking forward to feeling like it’s going to be an easy peasy no brainer! Here’s to hoping!
